Ambassador says both countries stand united in history, faith, and friendship LAHORE – Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Paçacı Neziroglu declared that Pakistan and Turkiye are not just allies but “one united nation,” during his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Neziroglu said, “We are not two separate states, but one nation. Our shared history and support during the Khilafat Movement still resonate strongly in Turkiye today.” He emphasized that both countries share common values, religion, and a long-standing bond of brotherhood. The ambassador further noted that Turkiye has always stood beside Pakistan in times of hardship. “We share the same vision for peace and progress. Our mutual support will continue as our nations grow closer,” he said. LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad thanked the Turkish people and government for their consistent support, especially during testing times. “Turkiye’s friendship and President Erdogan’s firm stance for Pakistan will always be remembered,” he said. Shad also highlighted the importance of boosting trade ties between the two nations. “It’s time to strengthen economic cooperation. Our bilateral trade is steadily growing, but there is room for much more,” he added. Both sides agreed that economic collaboration, cultural exchange, and strategic support must continue to build a stronger future for Pakistan-Turkiye relations.
