Gold prices in Pakistan continued to fall on Tuesday, following the global market trend. The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs1,000, bringing it down to Rs361,300. This marks the second consecutive day of price decline.
The price of 10-gram gold also saw a notable decrease. It fell by Rs857 and was being sold at Rs309,756, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). On Monday, gold prices had already dipped by Rs700 per tola.
Meanwhile, gold rates in the international market also fell. The global price stood at $3,398 per ounce, which was $16 lower than the previous rate. This included a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.
On the other hand, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The rate of silver per tola increased by Rs69 and reached Rs3,856. This slight gain brought some relief to the precious metals market.
Overall, gold prices have been under pressure due to international trends. However, investors in silver might see a small window of opportunity as rates rise modestly.
